These 90s Collectibles are Worth Big Bucks

(MoneyHippo.com) – Whether you have bins in your garage, attic, or basement, chances are you have some toys from your childhood or your kids’ younger years. If any of those are from the 90s, you might be sitting on a gold mine. Even if you don’t have any toys from that era, you could go garage sale hunting to gather some collectibles. Here are a few you might want to keep an eye out for as you declutter.

First on the list is Cabbage Patch Kids. Originated in 1978, these hand-stitched dolls came with their own look, names, and outfits. Everyone wanted one in the 80s and 90s. If you can find one today, it could be worth up to $2,500 in the market, depending on the condition.

The next item you might want to search for could be worth up to $300 on eBay. It’s called a Tamagotchi, an electronic pocket pet the owner feeds, plays with, and cleans up after. The Tamagotchi comes on a convenient chain and can fit in your pocket. So, if you can find an original working digital pet, you may be able to sell it for a nice chunk of cash.

American Girl introduced its first three 18-inch dolls in 1986, named Kirsten, Molly, and Samantha. Now, these dolls sell for as much as $1000 or more on eBay.

Another item that might also sell for about $300 on eBay is the Easy-Bake Oven. Although you can still buy a modern version today, look for the original. The more original parts you have, the more money you could receive from a collector or just someone looking for a bit of nostalgia.

The best thing to do when trying to see if you can turn your old toys into cash is to do a quick search on the internet to see if any of them are hot items you can sell instead of letting them collect dust in storage.
